eFOB 2.6.0 – New December 2023
On December 12, 2023, the eFOB platform was updated to version 2.6.0. In this article we present a full list of implemented changes and functionalities of eFOB.
New functionalities
- Recognition of text from the selected area on the document scan
We have added the ability to quickly recognize text fields (OCR) from a PDF scan within the area on the document selected by the user. We recognize many different date formats, as well as employee-specific fields, e.g. PESEL.

- Continuously learning suggestions for locating fields on the document
We have implemented the functionality of intelligent area indication for a selected field, based on previously recognized documents. The fascinating thing is that with each subsequent document, the field size will be better and better determined.
This allows you to find important data in documents even faster, which saves you time.
- Flexible Fields for Document Types
In the Admin -> Document Types panel, we have added the ability to define flexible fields for document types. Thanks to this, each document, even a very complex one (e.g. Personal Questionnaire), can have dozens of its own fields grouped into sections and collapsible groups. These fields are, of course, subject to the previously described OCR mechanisms.

Improvements
- New Document Generator engine - generation of even large documents is several times faster and more stable.
- Improved mailer: option to send notifications about new documents only for selected types.
- Editing documents: rebuilding the side panel - adding a Metadata tab with fields for OCR, moving audit fields to the Audit tab and navigation buttons to change the document to the previous/next one on the list.
