eFOB 2.55.0 - New releases June 2026
We have implemented eFOB 2.55.0. The update adds CAPTCHA to public forms and expands analysis of users' actual permissions. It also strengthens the security of login-related scenarios and refines training handling, translations, the start screen, documents and electronic signatures.
Key changes:
- CAPTCHA on account activation, activation resend, password reset and password setup forms,
- new “Effective permissions” panel available from the user list and user form, with a risk summary, accessible records, permission source details and warnings that help identify overly broad or unusual access faster,
- improvements to training handling and result exchange between eFOB and the LMS player,
- fixes for the dashboard, documents, OCR, electronic signatures, 2FA and translations.
CAPTCHA on public forms
We have added CAPTCHA verification to selected forms available before sign-in: account activation, activation resend, password reset and password setup.
For users, this means an additional security check without changing everyday work patterns. For organizations, it provides better protection for public entry points against automated password-guessing attempts.
Effective user permissions
Administrators can now open the analysis panel directly from the user view. The panel collects information from module roles and data access roles, then shows which roles grant access to system functions and specific data.
The view shows whether the user has own, limited, broad or administrative access, and whether a given scope requires attention. This makes it easier to assess whether the role configuration matches the employee's actual responsibilities.
Permission source details
For a selected module, administrators can check individual actions such as view, edit, delete, download or sign. The system shows whether an action is allowed and points to the access sources, for example an MDL role or a DS role.
This helps answer questions such as “why can this user see this record?” and reduces the need to compare multiple administration screens manually.
Records and warnings
The records tab lets administrators inspect example items available to the user in a selected module. The view supports search, sorting and pagination, so the analysis can be narrowed quickly to the relevant data set.
A separate warnings tab groups situations that deserve additional review, such as broad document access, administrative access or partial access in a selected workflow. This helps identify configurations worth checking before an audit or responsibility change.
