Types of electronic signatures

Zaktualizowano 2026-05-28

1. What are they and what are they for?

Signature types are specific methods of signing documents, assigned to one of the signature groups (coded e.g. SES / AES / QES).

⚠️Note: If you need to configure the type of signatures or expand with additional options - contact the eFOB team. The current list also includes functionalities that are still in the prototype/development phase.

2. Example types of signatures in the system

SES

  • Facsimile – simple graphic signature (text or scan of the signature)

AES (disabled/unavailable by default)

  • Autenti (AES)
  • Adobe Sign (AES)
  • DocuSign (AES)
  • Parchment (AES)
  • Signius (AES)
  • mObywatel + eFOB (AES)

QES

  • KIR (QES) – qualified electronic signature embedded in eFOB
  • Handwritten – traditional signature on the document
  • Signius (QES) – one-time qualified signature with video verification

3. Managing signature types

In the Groups window it is also possible to edit and deactivate signature types assigned to a given group.

The administrator can:

  • search for signature types,
  • activate or block signature types,
  • arrange the order,
  • edit descriptions visible to end users.
